RI Restaurant Stories: Went To Get Bagels, Xo

What goes great with a cup of coffee? Don't you dare say cigarettes. I was thinking more along the lines of a bagel. Now, you can get bagels just about anywhere these days. But do you want to know where you can get some of the best bagels in RI?

Heck yeah you do!

We found the place.

They have more than a dozen varieties of made-fresh-on-the-premises-daily bagels.

For breakfast. Or lunch.

From plain (for all you traditionalists ) to everything else you could possibly dream of, including: everything, onion, pumpernickel, blueberry, cinnamon sugar or chocolate chip.

And they're all yummy.

True Story: Nicole's bf said he never liked blueberry bagels until he had them at Cafe International. (He ate one yesterday with an iced coffee chaser. Btw, he's one of those people, along with Nicole, who drink iced coffee in the winter. In RI.)

Besides bagels and coffee, you can find delicious chai, sandwiches or (if you're craving veggies) salads  there too.

Nicole, her bf and Chris (Brianna's bf) also literally could NOT stop talking about all the different delicious cream cheese options like veggie or chive or (again if you're diehard traditional) plain yesterday. I've never heard people rave about cream cheese so much in my entire life. I swear.

So, we're talking about Cafe International.

Are you surprised?

Maybe not.

I mean while we were hanging out, we saw at least 3 people we knew. One girl running in before she left town for Boston, just so she could get her bagel and iced coffee fix. (Another iced coffee drinker in winter!)

Kind of a huge deal, no?

It's definitely a Cranston Hot Spot. Where you'll probably find lots of the Cranston Glitterati.

My only question is about all these people who insist on drinking iced coffee in the middle go one of the coldest winters on record in RI. #IDontGetIt
