How Cute Is This Acai Bowl: Where To Get Your Healthy Eating On

Remember when everyone was uploading pix of avo toast and latte art to FB and Insta? Then it gradually transitioned to #photos of acai bowls and donuts? (Pizza is apparently a perennial fav, with hall of fame status, but that's another post entirely.)

Two more reasons to check out Fit Fam Healthy Kitchen, open in Pawtucket since August. Right across the street from Breathing Time Yoga and next door to Gold's. And a short stroll from Hope Artiste Village. We motored over yesterday and newsflash, you don't have to be one of those peeps posting about meal prep and their workouts and tagging it all with #fitfam to go enjoy an acai bowl, smoothie, lunch, din din or donut. (Yup, they've got those too...Speaking of which, a famous fitness guru explained to me once how the only people who are truly happy, and able to maintain results long term, are those who occasionally indulge in things like pizza and donuts. So there!). I like that it's all shiny, brand-y new and clean. And how when you walk in, you're greeted by a glass case full of fresh fruit on one side and someone behind the counter who greets you with the 'right' amount of enthusiasm (because honestly, too much can be annoying).

I ordered the Man Of Steel, a bowl with a generous portion of oats, and fresh strawberries and blueberries. Could totally see myself ordering that for breakfast or a snack all the time. After ordering a smoothie for the hubs, we ended up opting out because they only had soy or almond milk, the latter being a MAJOR No-No since he has a tree nut allergy. They were really nice about the whole thing tho and I can't wait to go back to try other things on their menu. They also deliver if you happen to be in the vicinity.

Ciao for Now,
