Don't Be Trippin, Staycation Here Instead
Inn Style
No doubt you're already pretty familiar with the Ocean House, but this week we stayed at the Watch Hill Inn on Bay Street, and it is equally deserving of some serious fangirling. With views of the harbor and boats (Be on the lookout for the Aphrodite, an antique wooden boat restored, and fastidiously maintained, by the OH. It's gorg!), you feel as though you're actually staying onboard a boat. You're also centrally located in town, an oh-so-short walk from perennial favorites such as Ten Sandwiches (They sandwiches are terrif and they have a raw bar now too.) and Rochelle's (In case you're in need of a Free People fix while you're in WH.). The interior (including the Sandy Point Suite below where we stayed) has also been completely updated. Think hardwoods, flat screen tvs, and clean, modern decor that's cheery.
The Suite Life
Spend your days chilling (literally) in the AC and listening to Pandora or out on the massive deck catching some rays and gawking at those beau-ti-ful boats. There's a full kitchen if you like to cook. (We got takeout from The Cooked Goose. Try their lemon pasta. It's scrumptious.) Another plus? Since the Inn is under the umbrella of the OH Resort, you can actually partake of all the amenities they offer, including access to the brand new Below Deck sweet shop (Their gelato and speciality coffee get five shining stars from us!) and the private guest/members only beach with pristine sand, snack bar (The Dune Cottage) and their signature yellow lounge chairs, light blue umbrellas, and bright white/navy blue striped towels. They even have drink service on the beach. #cheerstothat
