4 Places For Holiday Foto Ops & Fa La La Fun This Weekend With Your Fav People
Here we go again. The official kickoff of Holiday (with a capital H) 2018. And you know the drill. Unpacking decorations. People posting about wreath making or eating cookies for breakfast, even more complaining about the cold (Oh deer, is it ever this year!) or crowded stores. Anywho, if you’ve been anxiously awaiting that time when you can fully embrace your love of Christmas and shout it to the world, or at least fill your feeds with seasonal cheer, we got you. So bundle up, grab your person, and get ready to enjoy these four classic spots in the OS for foto ops and fa la la fun holla day times.
Christmas Tree Hugger
Birch, please! So maybe you have an artificial tree on standby this year. You'll still get Insta cred when you upload from somewhere like the tree farm where KJP and Sarah Vickers tied the knot* back in 2015. Grab your most ruggedly stylish ankle boots, a plaid flannel that channels LL Bean by way of The Kooples, and your fav human and hustle on over.
*It was Henry's Tree Farm in Hope, Rhode Island, and Billy Gilman was there this past week too btw. Just wanted to save you the time you would’ve spent Googling.
Pencil In A Meet & Greet With Santa
We’ve been good-ish this year: The big man in the red suit will be live at Garden City Center in Cranston this Saturday, November 24th at 11am sharp. The forecast? Merry and bright. Extra points if you bring along a photogenic pup (It doesn’t have to be yours, but he or she should be super friendly and not afraid of jolly ole Saint Nick.) for your photos with Father Christmas. Also, we can’t think of a better time to pop over to Starbucks for a hot chocolate in one of their festive seasonal cups.
Have A Tree-mendous Christmas
Can’t make it to Rockefeller Center this year? Don’t get your tinsel in a tangle - the tree lighting at the Ocean House is this Saturday (November 24th) evening, it’s open to the public, and it’s pretty spectacular! The year we went Santa arrived via fire truck, there were made on the premises warm chocolate chip cookies, and a choir belting out carols. Extra points if you think you *might* have spotted T. Swift.
All Spruced Up
Holiday strolls abound again this year, from Main Street EG to Warren and Newport. Bring along that friend who's always up for selfies and who understands the importance of cold weather accessorizing with just-the-right knit beanie (To pom pom or not, that is the question!) or fuzzy mittens, not to mention how crucial a good photo editing session is prior to uploading anything. (Hint: adjusting the exposure can do wonders for just about any seemingly unflattering foto.) No love or Christmas cheer for ppl who post pix where only they look good.
Happy Holla Days!
