We Took The TMZ Tour But Our Biggest Celeb Sighting Was Over Brunch

Last time I visited Hollywood Blvd (also known as the Boulevard of Broken Dreams from said Green Day song), the TLC Hollywood Theater was probably still Grauman's Chinese, smart phones didn't exist, and there was no need to qualify Goldie Hawn's identity by saying she was 'Kate Hudson's mother'. This new generation is clearly missing out on gems like Private Benjamin. Or is there a crummy remake of that in the works now too?

This time, I took the TMZ Celebrity Tour (there are literally dozens of tour options to choose from, and it can be overwhelming.) and while it was entertaining in only a way that a show built on paparazzi hounding stars coming thru LAX or leaving The Ivy on Robertson can be (The Ivy is still a celeb hangout for those who really want to be seen for PR related reasons, but The Henry, a little further down the street, is apparently gaining ground. Catch is also a hot spot now too. Getting a table there after 8pm means you're A-list all the way.), we actually stumbled upon one of the biggest pieces of current celeb news completely by chance.

I mean what are the odds that you'd have a 12:30 Sunday brunch reservation at the legendary Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel (besides Vegas, the patio at the Polo Lounge and the BHH pool were two key places to see and be seen over this past holiday weekend in LA.) and that one of the most recognizable faces originally from your home state would be seated at the table right next to yours? With a high profile ex? (I know enough about his sport to have spotted and appreciated the Joe Namath memorabilia at dinner at the LA outpost of Rao's the other night.) Highly unlikely but it really happened ~ winky face!

Also, not sure what they ordered (did I spy a signature McCarthy chopped salad? named not for Sir Paul but for polo player and regular fixture at the hotel back in the day Neil McCarthy.) but highly recommeding the Blueberry-Lavender Fizz cocktail, the Fruit Plate (perfect portion and berries), and The Egg-White Frittata in case you're wondering what to order next time you're in La La Land.

PS - I've always, always wanted to use the word canoodling and here's my chance because there was a bit of that with those two too.
