This New Spot On The Water Will Have You Texting Your Besties To Make Lunch Or Brekkie Plans
Let me add myself to the many ppl lamenting how quickly June has flown by (or has seemed to anyway) because Summer's precious 'round here! Something I've been trying to do almost this entire month is get to the restaurant that used to be The Beach Rose Cafe, then was the new Beach Rose Cafe for a hot minute, and is now Wickford On The Water before it closed up shop for the day. Thankfully, they've extended their hours from 2 to 3 in the afternoon (Their focus right now is breakfast & lunch, but read somewhere they are planning on opening evenings as well somewhere down the road.), so vg news - I was *finally* able to score a seat on their side deck that over looks the water. Not sure who would have been inside yesterday, that would have been completely cray on such a beautiful day, right?
And don't let these photos fool you, their patio was actually jam packed! It's all on me because I was deliberately trying to get snaps without any people in them (aka, trying not to annoy fellow patrons). So, it's a sweet little spot to catch some Vitamin D (which btw my dr says I'm deficient in) and a nosh, some water views and a selfie this season - Just what the Dr ordered for your next personal day off from work. Looking for more highlights? There's the ice cream window up the street at Shayna's (Open weekends only and def worth the splurge. Can't wait to try the Sea Salt Caramel.), the local honey on sale over at Yes Gallery (Who knew there was such a thing as free range honey? Guys, there is and it's frecking awesome!), and this week leading up to July 4th, walking Main Street to see all the historic houses tricked out in their best American flag finery.
