The Island Everyone's Updating From That Will Have You Googling Flights

If you're not already obsessed with Mykonos, you should be! So many high profile people, including Kendell Jenner and Gigi Hadid, have been checking in from yachts and resorts there this summer. Maybe you saw the 'stories' on Snap and IG? (Leo and Mariah have also been spotted in the last few years.) Whether it's on social or in Page Six - courtesy of Richard Johnson, the OG of celeb gossip, no less! - or in Forbes, everyone seems to be talking Mykonos right now. And don't forget the Vanderpump Rules sounding reality show that MTV's producing at Lindsay Lohan's new beach club there. Sure, most everyone is saying they won't be watching, but who ever really admits to Keeping Up With The Kardashians and they are more popular and successful than ever. (Cha-Ching!)

During the 1960's celebs like Liz, Brando, Bardot, and Grace Kelly famous vacationed and were hounded by paparazzi on the island. And then in 1968, Jackie Kennedy added the Onasiss to her name by tying the know with Greek shipping tycon and richest man in the world at the time Ari O.. Thus, ramping up the glam and mystique around that whole part of the world even more. These days there's a resurgence of interest, an influx of travelers, and a beach club in Mykonos called Jackie O', and whether it's named for her or not, people rave about it. A friend of the blog spent some time in Mykonos (also called the Ibiza of Greece) this summer and while he didn't patronize Jackie O', he is sharing a few of his fav spots. So grab your sunnies and your sandals and join us for a mini overview of a few best spots:

  • Beach clubs ranging from Nammos, Scorpios (known for superlative sea views and sunsets), Principote, and Alemagou (More secluded than the others, according to him, you can 'get your Burning Man vibe on' there.) are all musts.
  • Behind Nammos is a great shopping area with a mix of local boutiques and international names such as Philipp Plein, Alec Monopoly, Dior, and LV.
  • Bookmark Remezzo too - a two story restaurant with great food and drinks where all the jetset and Insta Famous go to grab a bite to eat and soak in the incredible atmosphere and vistas
  • One place he doesn't recommend is Port Onos, which in some circles is called Port Oh No because it's apparently overrun with tourists, souvenir shops, etc. Good-to-know!
