Bright and cheerfully decorated.

Greenery also abounds.

And there are the cute little message boards.

The attention to detail is beyond…impressive and inspiring!

If you’re already a regular, then it’s no surprise, you know I’m talking about the still new-ish Hometown Cafe & Poke Bar in Providence.

The two ladies behind the space (and before this, the cart you may have spied at the PVD Flea or any number of outdoor events statewide) are pretty much responsible for introducing poke bowls to a huge portion of the Rhody population and turning this trend into more of a healthy eating staple around these parts.

We were there the other day for a delicious lunch of poke bowls, which were exceptional, as anticipated. (Patty J Tip: When Hometown Cafe & Poke Bar invites you over, you say YES.) We got to pick from a bunch of different options or create our own. I mean, there is something truly gratifying about picking out the ingredients and putting together your own special mix of colorful veggies, protein, and rice or greens. #WhereFoodAndStyleMeet

So, yes, their food is fresh and yummy - and they’ve expanded their menu since opening to include cafe items like Avo Toast and Acai Bowls - but did you know that it’s ALSO the ideal spot for photo ops? We were fortunate enough to have Trisha of Trisha Kelley Photography to document our best moments, but you can always sub in your ride or die bestie who just signed off on the latest I-Phone or Android model. (Patty J Tip: The lighting in the area around the 2 person table in the front window is SUPER flattering!)

*Hometown Cafe & Poke Bar is located at 185 Camp Street in Providence. To find when and where they’ll be popping up with their food truck, give them a follow over on Insta @HometownPoke.
