The Family Behind Your Favorite Coffee Truck Have Opened A Shop In Warwick

See this content in the original post

Around this time, I usually write something up about my tippity top spots for grabbing coffee on the water and that’s when you have maybe seen my mentions of the Presto Strange O Coffee Truck at the Providence Flea on South Water.

Well, in addition to that, the family behind your go-to for iced coffee truck have gone and opened a cute little cafe in the Warwick Neck neighborhood (which up until this point I associated with Rocky Point State Park — and the awesomeness that is NEW pier there — and the lighthouse at the tip of the WN peninsula) this month.

And the lines were out the door this past weekend, their very first one.

I can totally see zipping by for some takeaway drinks and eats (LOVE their Vietnamese Ice Coffee and their breakfast sandwiches, they also had a marvelous selection of baked goods the other day, and their Cold Brew is always a treat) this season and enjoying everything at that nifty looking Rocky Point Park Fishing Pier nearby.

Yours truly is also a big fan of their style and tone which I think is rooted in early 1980’s alterna (post-punk pop and rock with a twist of John Fluevog), GP’s Margo in Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tenenbaums, the oeuvre of one Amy Sherman Palladino (the top hat wearing creator of both Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel…again, if Lorelei Gilmore had the choice, she would get her coffee from Presto and NOT Luke’s), and a dash of Jean Seberg circa 1960’s Breatheless.

If you’re looking for some truly incredible java and a nosh, their shop is open for biz every Tuesday through Saturday from 7am to 3pm.

*Find Presto Strange O Coffee at 334 Warwick Neck Avenue.

As always, if you take a jaunt over after reading this, please let them know you heard about them here via Patty J and PattyJ.com.
