Scenes From Wickford On Monday, June 7, 2021

Whether you garden as a hobby or you just enjoy looking at lush gardens (I fall into THIS category and why I do is a whole other post for another day), you’ll want to grab tickets for the upcoming Wickford In Bloom Garden Tour coming up on Saturday June 26th and Sunday 27th.

Instead of peering over fences like a fan girl or boy — or (gasp) attempting to sneak onto private property to get a closer look — these walking tours are an opportunity to see 12 gorgeous flower gardens around The Wick up close and in person.

Don’t know about you, but I wasted many hours over the last 12 to 18 months (ugh) scrolling visually stunning gardens and landscapes in The Cotswolds, Amalfi Coast and on Martha Stewart’s (swoon-worthy…but remember she has a staff) Connecticut estate.

And this sounds like a much preferable way to spend a summer weekend afternoon. (Of course, I’ll stop at either Shayna’s or the deck at Tavern By The Sea for lunch too.)

You can get your tickets in advance for $25 at Beauty and The Bath, Green Ink, Spring Pottery, Studio 460, Yes Gallery, Wickford Collection (oh boy, are their grounds lovely !!!), and Wickford Gourmet Factory Outlet.

If you purchase day of, they are $30 a pop, so (wink) you know what to do.

I’m not familiar with the non-profit, Hist Wick, that’s organizing this one, but I do LOVE their mission to preserve and celebrate Wickford Village, something I myself have been doing for ages.

As always, if you and your bestie buy tickets after reading this, please let them know you found out about it here via Patty J and PattyJ.com.
