The Darling Tea Room In Warwick, Rhode Island For Sips And Sweets

See this content in the original post

So, What’s The Tea?

I’m more than a little embarrassed to admit that only a few short years ago, I rolled up to Trinity Confections in the Hoxsie section of Warwick, expecting to just walk in and get seated for tea and sweets.

Well, now I realize that high tea does NOT work that way and reservations at tea shops and such are standard. (They were actually closed that day anyway, so…)

Anywho, the other night at PPAC, I ran into my friend G. who went to a baby shower there recently — and she had a ball! She could not have had a better time in fact.

From the food (scones! soup! quiche that people liked so darn much they were asking if there were any available to buy and carry out) and service (the owner/proprietor is lovely) to the welcoming and homey interior, this tea house is an enchanting oasis nestled in a strip mall at Hoxsie Four Corners.

As a matter of fact, you’ve probably motored by tons of times on your way to somewhere else without even realizing what you were missing out on.

It’s all very Julie Andrews (she was after all Mary Poppins AND Queen Clarisse in The Princess Diaries) meets Paddington divided by Mick, Tom (Hanks) and Jude (Law), who are all huge fans of TEA time btw.

Not sure about the quiches, but you can definitely purchase teas and their made-from-scratch scones to take home with you.

PS And BTW, they also offer vegetarian options which makes me very happy.

Watch for a follow up post from me after I go with my friend G…if we can get a reservation, that is.

She tells me that they book up weeks in advance, so I better hop to it.

Find Trinity Confections at 1625 Warwick Avenue in Warwick, Rhode Island.

As always, if you go after reading THIS, please do let them (and your friends) know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
