The Charlestown Farm To Table Market That The Locals Love And Adore

Keep Scrolling To See All My Photos From Quonnie!

Gotta give credit where credit is due!

I first heard about Quonnie Farms in Charlestown from my friend Jenn who looped me in over coffee in EG a few months ago.

Well, this week I finally got around to checking it out for myself — and the family owned and operated market (that started as a legit farm-stand some 30+ years ago, keep scrolling to see the little red stand that’s the cornerstone of its origin story) is everything Jenn said and more.

The new barn (built in 2020 - 2021) that houses this from scratch bakery meets grocery store that’s rooted in local and sustainably produced is gorgeous.

And pssst, I hear that come spring and summer 2022, they’re going to be unveiling flower fields and made on the premises ice cream.

But you won’t want to wait for warmer weather to explore this rustic gem on W. Beach Road. (In all honesty if you’re zipping down Old Post Road you’ll probably miss it because there’s no sign — unless you’re one of their many devoted customers in the area.)

I was truly wowed after walking in on Thursday because of the amount of RI food and merch, including: mugs and dishware from Peter Pots Pottery, nut butters from Providence’s Brown Bear, Seaworthy Coffee, seasonings from Ocean State Pepper Co., Scott’s Honey, candles from Juniper Hill Apothecary, and soap from The Blue Sister.

Also, you won’t wanna miss the fresh out of the oven breads (I got a loaf of sourdough) and yummy selection of cookies and scones, amazing produce and pantry staples.

Regulars ADORE their ginormous sandwiches (wish I had gotten one!), the handmade pies, hot coffee, and super fresh seafood and meats.

They are open every Thursday thru Sunday, so plan accordingly.

Find Quonnie Farms at 16 W. Beach Road in Charlestown, RI.

As always, if you take a little Rhode trip over after reading this, please do let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
