Life Is Full Of Questions, Cupcakes Are The Answer

As so often happens, we were on our way to somewhere else when we spotted The Cupcakory food truck at Shickasheen Farm in West Kingston, where people were loading up on plants and flowers for Mom’s Day btw.

Sure, you already know Peter Pots (Pottery), The Farmer’s Daughter, and TLC Coffee Roasters (all perennial Patty J FAVES), but you may NOT be aware of this rebooted bakery on wheels.

The truck under brand-y NEW ownership — the wife and husband team bake up outstanding cupcakes and other sweets in addition to holding down demanding day jobs — caught our eyes, and I’m so glad we pulled over.

Last Saturday their menu included 4 different kinds of gourmet cupcakes (a nod to Reese’s PB Cups, a lemon raspberry, a chocolate lover’s, and lastly, a salted caramel), 2 of their signature Jumbo Puff Turnovers (an apple and a blueberry), and hot coffee which is wicked smart.

I mean, how many times have you bought desserts somewhere and wished the maker also had some java to go along with?

But back to those cupcakes…I sampled all 4 and will tell you that they are indeed splurge worthy!

So, do keep an eye out for The Cupcakory, which is based in Charlestown and will be popping up at all kinds of outdoor venues around Lil Rhody this Spring and Summah. (And you can even book them for private events, just sayin. A fab way to win folks over and make them love you forever, if you’re asking this bloggah.)

Speaking of which, this Thursday they’ll actually be at the magical Wickford Harbor Lights, too! Yet another reason to make plans with your significant other or friend group to motor over to The Wick that nite.

For more from them (menu rollouts and specifics about where else they’ll be), definitely check out their IG @thecupcakorycharlestown and their site.

As always, if you patronize The Cupcakory after reading this, please do let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
