Plant Based In Bristol

The wife and husband behind Basil & Bunny food truck have opened a lovely restaurant in Bristol’s Unity Park — just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Pivotal Brewing Company — and we were there recently for their soft opening.

Perhaps you are already familiar with their scrumptious menu of plant-based burgers (holy cow, are they yum), fries (even my husband woofed down an order, said they were phenomenal), sweets (their Mmm Bop Tarts are a fave of my good friend KG), and ever-changing selection seasonal specials (for ex., this summer they created these vegan lobster rolls that had people lined up).

If not, oh boy, are you and some-bunny you love going out to eat with in for a treat! Let me be crystal clear, you definitely do not need to be vegan or even vegetarian to enjoy their outstanding comfort eats.

Think you’ve had the tastiest plant based food in Rhode Island?

Nope, NOT by a long shot if you haven’t tried Basil & Bunny yet.

And what better time than right now???

The brand-y NEW space at 500 Wood Street, Building 111 is DARLING!

Look closely and you’ll find little flourishes throughout that are nods to their name, including but not limited to the bunny patterned wallpaper in the wc (aka, water closet, aka rest room, aka, you get the idea) and the bunny shaped coat hooks on the opposite wall.

My prediction?

This family friendly space is going to be HOPPING this month and beyond.

Check out their site and social for hours, current menu and so on.

As always, if you go after reading THIS, please let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
