We Were Wowed By The Waffles At This Euro Inspired Eatery In Attleboro

I’ll Take The Waffles With A Side Of Waffles.

I first tried their Belgian style waffles at a food truck event in Cranston about 5 or 6 years ago.

Not sure what I was expecting but the Burgundian hashtags — oops, I mean waffles — were melt-in-your-mouth delectable.

Then I started following their adventures online. (Side bar, if you ever have a chance to see Isaac Mizrahi live, his rants about social, follows, and likes are hilarious.)

Eventually they announced they’d be opening a brick and mortar restaurant in Attleboro, Massachusetts which was and is a VERY big deal. (Other trucks and carts that have added a storefront? The list is pretty darn long and includes Like No Udder, Gansett Poke, and coming soon to Bristol, Basil & Bunny.)

Let me just say that Burgundian is only a short drive from the Providence area, so motoring over is easy peasy and well worth it because (AGAIN) their liege waffles are out of this world.

The space on Park Street is really nice: Plenty of seating. A ginormous coffee menu. Brews too for those who imbibe.

And don’t even get me started about the variety of creative waffle based dishes!

Moreover, the owners always seem to be teaming up with other Southern New England makers on pop-ups and theme nights that sound so fun. (Never know when you’re gonna need a nite out, amirite?)

The hubs asked for a classic with butter and syrup and I had a spicy one topped with jackfruit and oodles of our flavorful ingredients. (Apologies but I forgot to snap a pic of the menu last Saturday, so I have no idea about the specific add-ons. All I can say is that everything was delish.)

Burgundian is open Wednesdays thru Mondays; you can find them at 55 Park Street in Attleboro, Mass.

As always, if you go after reading THIS, please do let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
