The Adamsville, Rhode Island Restaurant Where You Can Breakfast In A Renovated Barn

In true Rhode Island fashion, I had no clue about the village of Adamsville (located in Little Compton, dating all the way back to 1675 and named for the 2nd POTUS, John Adams…also, yours truly attended Classic High School in Providence with someone who was the great-great-great-great grandson of John Adams) until I launched this blog and really started exloring the state.

Another key point? The Barn Restaurant in Adamsville was in fact an actual barn some 300+ years ago.

In the late 20th century, however, it was renovated and transformed into a wildly popular local favorite for casual breakfast-ing!

You simply will NOT find a more authentic representation of what some like to call Rhody rustic.

It’s also a stone’s throw from the mysterious Spite Tower that I’ve posted about previously. (See my photo below.)

We love the pipping hot coffee, their FAMOUS coffee cake of the day (yum, an absolute must try) as a starter, the omelettes, and the eggs benedict — with the hollandaise on the side. (What can I say, sometimes I do have those Meg Ryan from When Harry Met Sally moments.)

Also: Townies and visitors alike rave about classics like their home fries and pancakes, their signature V8 omelette (made with V8 brand veggie juice), and the wonderful weekly specials.

And I LOVE that come warmer weather, they roll out the patio seating.

They are open 7 days but they fill up fast, so you’ll want to go early AND leave yourself a bit of a window as far as the wait for a table.

Find The Barn Restaurant at 13 Main Street in Adamsville (also known as Little Compton).

As always, if you take a Rhode trip over after reading this, please let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
