We Had An Amazing Brunch In Providence At This Atwells Avenue Restaurant
The chef behind Pianta started at a food hub in Providence and along with her team, hosted pop-ups all around the state. (You may have seen them at the Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market a few summers ago where they would usually sell out in the first 2 hours.)
Now, fast forward to her eatery on Atwells Avenue in Providence.
The hubs and I popped in for their Sunday brunch which runs from 12noon to 2pm and I’m so glad we did.
Since my husband has a severe tree nut allergy, I was ecstatic to learn that while Pianta is indeed plant based, they no longer cook with any nuts. What a relief!
I also love that their brunch menu had so many small plate options that were perfect for SHARING.
We split their fried pickles (comes with a dipping sauce) and the cajun style homefries, both of which were nice indulgences on a chilly Sunday afternoon on The Hill.
Next the hubs inhaled their Belgian waffle with cinnamon and sugar butter & cream cheese icing which looked amazing!
I was torn between the French toast bake, the French dip, and the cheesy risotto cake bene — they all sounded incredible.
I ended up going with the bene which was really yummy and a little different from the traditional benedicts because no eggs…Didn’t miss ‘em, tho.
The interior is also lovely with a sweet looking bar, greenery, an led wall sign, and a plant mural.
I mean, what’s not to love?
