Your Favorite Cart For Comfort Food Is Back In Providence This Weekend

See this content in the original post

Mark your phone calendar and make a plan to meet your favorite person for breakfast this Saturday morning because the eats at this cart are the food and drink equivalent of a cozy, worn-in sweatshirt or sweater.

And who amongst us couldn’t use a little bit of THAT right now? (Also, it is indeed almost spring, but everyone knows March in Rhode Island is still pretty chilly.)

In case you haven’t already heard, this coming weekend Lil Rhody’s very own little “oat mobile” — which started serving up fantastic oatmeal and cups of fair trade coffee in 2020 — is back in Providence!

The sweet and savory bowls from Oatmiel Cafe are about a gazillion steps beyond any instant varieties you might mix up hurriedly in the kitchen on a given morning.

And the owner and proprietor (since I first blogged about her, she’s had a child and become a bee keeper) has taken the classic cuppa oats and turned it on its head, cooking up menu items such as their Bee Wild which includes not only oats but also mushrooms, thyme, cheddar, and a fried egg.

Find the Oatmiel Cafe on Saturday, March 4th at the Providence Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from 4 to 7pm at 4 Aurora Street.

Then, on Sunday, March 5th (and every weekend going forward in March), they’ll be in Smithfield on Route 102 (between Gator’s Pub & Wright’s Farm Restaurant) from 8am to 12noon.

They’re also on IG @Oatmiel_Cafe.
