We Found Some Of The Yummiest Pizza In West Warwick, Rhode Island

See this content in the original post

Our first time at Filippou’s Twisted Pizzeria And Restaurant in West Warwick (just learned that there are apparently a half dozen Twisted eateries around Rhode Island…I know, I know…I’m late to the party here), and you know what?

Well, the pizza was absolutely fantastic!

In other words…run, don’t walk to get a few pies this PIZZA FRIDAY, friends.

Or any other day really. (Yes, it was indeed that YUMMY.)

We ordered the Athenian, with eggplant, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, ricotta, tomato sauce, spices and without the sausage. (My friend KG and I are both mostly pescatarian these days.)

It turned out to be a scrumptious combination of crispy (the outer edges of the crust) and soft (the heart of the pie) which in my humble opinion, makes for a pretty-close-to-perfect-o pizza.

And the veggies, particularly those red peppers, added a nice multi-layer flavor experience. Woo-hoo! (PS And By The Way: I took some home and the reviews from the fam were five star.)

Our server was on point, too.

Another swell detail? They have a micro garden outside where they grew some of their tomatoes and herbs. (In addition, noticed a sign outside that said something about lunch specials…hint, hint.)

Regulars also rave about their calzones, pizza topped with steak, Mediterranean salad, French fries, and much more.
