The Classic Narragansett Restaurant For Casual Breakfast, Lunch, And Burgers
Return visit to Crazy Burger on Boon Street in Narragansett recently (they were packed), and maybe you know this already but…it’s way more than traditional burgers, fries, and smoothies.
It’s not fancy but the food and energy are fab.
It’s cozy sized and consistently busy which means there’s usually a wait for table. With a bit of luck and some timing (get there early or a little later in the day) it shouldn’t be more than 10 or 15 minutes.
First off, breakfast all day, and so many people were ordering from that part of the menu. I don’t eat meat, so I tend to gravitate to eggs and potatoes, pancakes, waffles, crepes, and such.
Then there’s their signature MAGIC GREEN SOUP — made with kale, spinach, avo, sweet potato, pear, bean, & cilantro purée — a forever fave. I’ve bought it by the cup and by the quart to take home. It’s not only delicious but it also makes me feel as though I’m doing something good for me. (Unfortunately it was sold out the other day, but definitely keep it in mind for when you go.)
Then there are the meat-less burgers, all made in house and pretty darn yum. I ordered their POCO LOCO BURGER which is very vegan meets Southwestern, made with black wild rice, tempeh, peppers, onions, and wrapped in a tomato tortilla with salsa and another tangy sauce on the side. It’s completely yummy with a bit of a spicy kick, and both plant based eaters and carnivores alike love it.
The hubs had the LOCO BURGER (beef, black beans, cheddar, grilled with avo in a tortilla) with sweet potato fries and inhaled it, lol. He also said it was not spicy which he how he rolls.
Regulars also rave about their desserts (the Raspberry Key Lime Pie for ex.), the NAAN Contender, Lucky Latkes, Mighty Mushroom Burger, and more.
