The Wonderful Clam Shack On The Water In Warren Reopens Today

See this content in the original post

If you’re reading this on Thursday, May 9th (or afterwards), you’re in luck because Blount Clam Shack on the water in Warren is now open for the 2024 season…

I’m more than a little late to the party on this one (guesstimating that it’s been there for at least 6 years) but for those who have been to Blount Clam Shack on Water Street, how great is it?

This place is PARADISE — even in the Ocean State where we have so many terrific waterfront eateries.

Open 11:30 to 7pm daily (weather permitting), this fab sea-food truck also boasts swell views (I was swooning over all the lovely boats zipping by), beaucoup seating, a little shanty where yesterday someone was playing the guitar and singing, and a shiny silver trailer nearby where you can grab some Wright’s Ice Cream.

I have gotten their signature GIANT lobster roll (one pound of meat) without the dill mayo or butter along with a fresh salad, and it is outstanding.

The lines are usually long but but they move pretty quickly and frankly the food is worth the wait.

The hubs and I made a beeline for the picnic table seating underneath a tent which I recommend (especially for anyone who, like me, sunburns even with spf 45).

I also can’t wait to go back for clam cakes and chowder or fish ‘n chips. Regulars say their clam cakes and chowder are the tippity tops in the whole entire state.

The menu is gigantic (for those for whom that enormous lobstah roll is too much, please know that there is a smaller version) with every classic you can imagine from the ones I just specified to fried scallops, calamari, spicy fish wrap, cole slaw, fries and onion rings, stuffies, and on and on.

As for drinks, you can sip local with Del’s or Yacht Club. Or something stronger. In other words, they do offer a variety of beers and wines.

I’m giving them FIVE SHINY STARS and in other words, highly recommend.
