A Marvelous Vintage Emporium In Providence, Rhode Island

See this content in the original post

POP PVD (also known as the Emporium Of Popular Culture) on West Park Street is like stepping into a wonderland of fabulous vintage finds from the last century. Other have said it and I’m gonna parrot them because it’s so fitting — it’s the closest we’re gonna come to happening on a time machine.

Previously located in EG, there’s a surprise around every corner at this PVD super store overflowing with antiques. We’re talking vintage movie posters and books, mid century modern furniture, toys (from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s & 80’s), a table from where you would have kept score at the bowling alley, a jukebox, TV Guides from the 60’s, pinball machines, Tupperware, art, old time-y tv’s (the ones in the cabinets), and much more.

And it’s all artfully merchandised (I say this as someone who worked in retail for close to twenty years). Just a joy to peruse, explore.

Maybe you’re a fan of all things vintage? Maybe you’re an interior designer looking for truly unique and special pieces for a client (whether it be residential or commercial)?

Either way, you gotta motor over to POP this coming weekend.

They are usually open every Saturday (and Sunday) from 1 to 5pm.

Find POP PVD at 219 W Park Street in Providence, RI.

As always, if you go after reading THIS, please let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
