The Saucy, New Pizzeria In Cranston, Rhode Island
Last night was the soft opening at the NEW Pizza Mamma on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston, and we motored over because we both live for great pizza.
The space is stylish and has so much pizzazz with red accents (the neon signage, seating, etc.), chandeliers, and the decidely glam Pizza Mamma logo. It all harkens back to a vintage Italian aesthetic but with a totally updated twist.
The options as far as pizza are pretty impressive, too, with New York Style, Detriot Style (that’s what I tried and it was 10 outta 10 yum), gluten free (everyone is always asking about gf), and even a Nutella dessert version that looked tempting.
Also, sandwiches, salads, fried mozz, and MORE. Last night, they even had chocolate chip cookies.
Tom sampled their pepperoni, and he really enjoyed it. As a matter of fact he wants to go back again this week for Pizza Friday. He’s a super fan now. That being said, I think everyone’s going to be frequenting and talking about this restaurant. It’s the total package — wonderful food, atmosphere (there is seating if you want to stick around and eat), and service.
