There's A New Outdoor Pop-Up In Jamestown & It'll Have You Texting Your Fav Oyster Fan

Let’s shell-a-brate — because there’s a brand new farm stand and outdoor raw bar in Jamestown where you can grab some outstanding Walrus And Carpenter Oysters, along with a cold beverage or two (including boxed water, lemonade, and iced tea) starting this month.

Last Friday, the folks at W&C premiered a summertime pop-up, an adorable shack situated at Dutch Harbor Boat Yard at the tail end of Narragansett Avenue. I’d never been there before, but was so glad we motored over. (Tbh, the drive down Narragansett Ave., past all the lovely shingled cottages with front porches or back patios, made me want a beach house in that lovely oceanside town sooooo badly.)

The World Is Your Oyster (But The Ones Below Are Mine).

The next time you’re in the area, you will want to pop over. Pretty sure that the Shack is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, featuring not only their yummy original oysters from Ninigret Pound (which taste sweet-ish) but also ones from right there in Dutch Harbor (which are saltier and equally as delish).

You can also get a dozen or two of their “Originals” or “Dutchies” to go. (I mean, you could always drop a bunch off on the doorstep of the oyster lover in your life, that person you’ve had to stay socially distanced from and are looking for ways to stay connected to these days during the pandemic.) So, pencil it in for NEXT weekend.

PS ~ I also heard that they will be expanding the menu soon, too. Helloooo, yet another reason to check them out this season.

Seriously, you won’t get fresher or tastier oysters. And the views and low-key, casual atmosphere add even more special-ness to the entire experience. Chauffeur your crew over or sneak away by yourself for a little Ocean State treat.
