5 Reasons To Go: The 5th Annual Incredible Ice Cream Throwdown
Get ready to raise your spoons because today, I'm dishing about the one thing that most of us can't resist. Especially once the weather gets nice and warm here in the OS. And why the heck should we?
From exercise and clean diet fans (Yes, they do indulge.) to those who live for sweets and treating themselves everyday on the reg, so many of the peeps featured on PattyJ.com absolutely LOVE their ice cream and they're not shy about sharing that. In other words, we all scream for ice cream. (Yes, I went there.)
That being said, I feel like everyone needs to know about the Incredible Ice Cream Throwdown, happening June 26th in PVD from 1-3pm. It's the 5th annual party with lots of cold, frosty goodness from my friends over at RI Food Fights. Besides the fact that I'm going to be a judge this year (Not sure yet if I'll be channeling Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Paula, Randy, Judge Judy or Simon during my stint. #StayTuned), here are five OTHER fab-u-lous reasons why it's a must go this month:
5. Did you know...Kids under 4 get in FREE? Sweet!
4. THIS: Use the code PattyJ when buying your tix and get $5 off. (Now, math's never been my strong point, but I can tell you that using that code will bring your ticket price down from $20 to only $15. Uh, yay! Go to rifoodfights.com to get yours.)
3. There will also be cool beverages from some of your local favs, namely, Iced Coffee from New Harvest, Yacht Club Soda, and Granny Squibb's Iced Tea.
2. Need a dose of style with your dessert and drinks? Well, they've got that covered too. Be there on the 26th and you'll also get to see The TropiGals, New England's premiere vintage & silver screen-inspired dance troupe. (Psst...They've even putting together a brand new number just for this event.)
1. It's an all you can sample celebration, featuring the best loved and most popular ice cream vendors in all of Rhode Island. There's nothing else quite like it in fact.
Ciao for Now,
Patty J
