2 New Places To Go See Before The Hipsters & Instagrammers Do

There's no sugarcoating (Speaking of sweets, keep your Nutella and give me a jar of Bonne Maman Strawberry Preserves any flipping day.), March has been something of a major disappointment weather wise. And I've only been back in the OS for a few short days. So, while we're all waiting for the temps to ramp up, and the sun to make an appearance for more than a few hours, we need distractions. Damn great ones at that! Like these two new-ish gems, tucked away outside PVD. Go before everyone and their cousin does and you have to wait for a table (at the coffeehouse) or you end up missing out on the buy of the year (at the cute shop) and it goes home with someone else.

Attn Coffee & Food Lovers

Looking for a new spot for a cuppa coffee and maybe a nosh? With Atmosphere. (Think converted mill/factory space.) That hasn't been overrun (not yet anyway) with a bunch of people all working on their blogs and vlogs or in the midst of meetings of some sort. It's Mad Dog Cafe at 65 Blackstone Ave in Pawtucket. Not to be confused with Mad Dog Gallery on the 2nd floor, the Cafe is a space that you can pop over to for your latte, cortado, pastry or lunch. Even if you don't own a single pair of ripped denim or a phone case with a (bliding) selfie light.

Blog-palozza! By that, what I mean is I could write a couple dozen blogs about Pawtuxet Village (or simply The Village as those who live and work there refer to it), but this one's introducing you to Lane's On Broad, an adorable space that used to be a flower shop and now features a mix of affordablely priced "pre-loved" and brand-y new clothing + accessories. (Mixing the two is a thing nowadays btw.) One cavaet: It's only open on the weekends, so plan accordingly.

Ciao for Now,
