My RI Life: Get To Know This Newportonian & Emerging Author

An Author and a Newportonian

Living on an island full of history, old manor houses, and grand tulip trees, is such a fortunate backdrop for a writer. A Rhode Island native, I love being out on the ocean, spending afternoons at the public library, getting lost exploring nature trails, and being a world class beach bum.

On Visiting Newport

While the Cliff Walk and mansions are certainly (and deservedly so!) going to garner the majority of the attention, don’t overlook a stop at Rovensky Park (fittingly located on the corner of Rovensky Ave and Bellevue). Home to winding pathways and spacious greens, it is a wonderful place to bring a good book and plunk yourself down on a park bench under the shade of a friendly tree for some quiet when you need a breather from all the summer time action.

On His New Book

Thrilled to share with you a glimpse into ‘The Tao of Tula and Oslo’ my newest Juvenile Fiction title!

Oslo Robins has always been a bit of a misfit. After his reclusive grandfather passes away and his family inherits a large estate in the countryside, his life remains anything but simple. New home, new school, means all kinds of adventures for a child of the city. When fantastical things start happening, Oslo discovers that his grandfather's estate is hiding more than a few secrets! Written and illustrated by C.S. Robadue, it is a story of suspense, adventure, friendship, and the knowledge that there is an unseen world, that begins right where our imagination ends.

‘The Tao of Tula and Oslo’ is a wonderfully fun read for all ages and available ($7.99) at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Enjoy the Summer everyone and I’ll see you around Newport!
