The Ice-tastic PVD Ride Everyone You Know Was Posting About Last Year Is Back & Wow

Opinions may be split when it comes to the newest holiday drink from our friends at Starbucks. Yes, I’m talking of course about their Juniper Latte - the beverage that some have adoringly described as Christmassy while others are commenting over on their Instagram that it tastes like an actual Christmas Tree. So let’s skip the whole JL Drama, and focus instead on some local places and things that are hands down, 100% festive fun. Including the wintery ride in PVD that went viral last year.

Treat Your Elf

The bumpers on ice have returned to the Alex & Ani Skating Center! (Remember…we were the first in New England to have them last Winter!) They’re definitely great if you don't skate. (I don't.) It’s also something fun-tastic and exciting to do during December school vacay after the Christmas magic has melted away, the kiddos are bored, and you’re frantically searching online for ways to keep everyone entertained. So bundle up and enjoy!

Time To Make It Rein, My Deer

Looking for a new, fresh foto op spot that has merry & bright written all over it? Try the Gazebo at Garden City. We were there the other day for lunch at Avvio and spotted these ginormous Christmas Tree-esque reindeers - and quite a few people taking photos with and of them.

Afterwards there’s plenty to do, and if you’re there this weekend (the 30th thru Dec 2nd), Sephora is offering all VIB Rouge customers $25 off every purchase of $75 or more. I mean who among us doesn’t live for a mini shopping spree at Sephora? Also, might I be so bold as to recommend the Olaplex 3*, which, if you dye or bleach your hair, is the best Xmas gift you could ever give yourself.

*Directions on the bottle say to leave in for 10 minutes. All the tutorials I watched on YouTube say at least two hours to overnight which is what I did. After two treatments in two weeks, my hair looks way healthier.

It’s Candy Cane Season

Sure you can stop by the Sweenor’s in GC, but their Wakefield location is having their annual Open House this coming Sunday, Dec. 2nd from 12-5pm and it’s one of the easiest ways to get into the spirit right about now. And put a little sweetness back into your weekend in the OS. See how they make their candy canes and more!
