The PVD Cycle Studio Everyone's Checking In From, So Get Ready To Rethink Your Current Routine
To say I love spin class (indoor cycling) would be an understatement. When my go-to cycling studio closed back in the Spring, panic set in. Just the thought of starting somewhere new with new people, new bikes, and a new location literally kept me up at night. Little did I know I had just wasted so much time and energy worrying for nothing.
As the old saying goes, “When one door closes, another door opens." CycleBar Providence opened their doors April 12th, and I was ready to ride on the very first day. I was (still) anxious for a bunch of reasons, but again…I completely wasted my time!
Parking in Providence Place Mall is a breeze. Enter and park on Level P2 by the Cheesecake Factory and Old Navy entrance, walk out onto the street, take a right and the red bike racks and friendly faces are waiting to greet you! CycleBar even has their own block of assigned parking spaces for members. On top of the 2 hours of free parking, CycleBar validates parking up to 5 hours if you find yourself in a shopping mood. (This can be a bit dangerous for some of us!)
The people, that’s where I REALLY wasted my time worrying. Everyone was warm and welcoming; greeting you with a smile and always ready to help. The studio itself was beyond my expectations. Beautiful, bright, clean, and red. Love the color red. They provide free water bottles to first time riders, ice cold filtered water, healthy snacks, towels, hair elastics, lockers, and best of all ... cycling shoes! You literally just need to show up! CycleBar also has 2 private showers that are stocked with more luxury toiletries than a 5 star hotel.
The CycleBar Theater has 45 Schwinn Indoor Cycling bikes, an incredible sound system, and the coolest lightning system that has you forgetting your even in an exercise class sometimes!
There is also a great system that provides a LeaderBoard to track your ride statistics and class rank. After class, before you get to your car, you receive an email of your stats showing Class Rank, Power Points, Average/Max RMPs, and Average/Max Watts. But no worries if you prefer to keep your stats to yourself, you can remove your name from the board at any time.
CycleBar has an extensive class schedule and a host of theme rides from Wine Down Wednesday to Happy Hour Friday as well as Performance Rides that focus on endurance challenges, Connect Rides that focus on following the beat of every song, and Video Rides that play your favorite throwback music videos. The options at CycleBar Providence are endless! So if you’re looking for a new type of workout or a new place to workout, CycleBar Providence is the one for you!
