Never Stop Be-Leafing In Love

I want flowers for Valentine’s Day. I don’t need a car wrapped in a big red bow (Speaking of which, when two super famous reality stars were gifted cars by their significant others, turned out the vehicles were either leased or apparently purchased by the person on the receiving end. #DontBelieveTheHype), a Miami condo on the beach, or a Vogue cover featuring me & my hubbie (couples I’d rather on the cover of this month’s issue: Meghan & Harry, Ally & Jackson Maine, Ellen & Portia, and Chrissy & John). But flowers are Valentine’s CLASSIC. If you feel the same, here are three local places to name drop to your beloved before the 14th.

1️⃣ Jephry Floral Studio in PVD. The anecdote I have that best illustrates the magic of Jephry has to do with one of my nieces walking into his space on Broadway in Providence, in search of a floral arrangement for my mom (just because…no particular holiday or occasion mind you).  She walked out with an absolutely gorgeous bunch of flowers that he had just put together. My mom adored them, and they lasted for quite a long while. And I have no doubt he can work that same magic for VDay.

2️⃣ Whole Foods RI. This year WFM is once again running an amazing Valentine’s deal for Amazon Prime members on their roses (any color…so get those yellow roses for your besties or pink ones for your mom for all that she does for you!) - a double dozen for a surprisingly low $19.99. It kicked off on the 6th and goes until February 14th.

3️⃣ Flowers By Semia. They are known more for large scale events like weddings (Guests at my niece’s nuptials in Newport last summer said that they had never seen such stunning flowers at a wedding. The champagne and the compliments were flowing!), but Flowers By Semia does do pop-ups for certain holidays. I know I bought a bouquet for my mom last Mother’s Day at a Cranston one they had. Definitely something to keep your ears and eyes opwn for in the coming days.
