There's A New Selfie Wall Courtesy Of This Insta Famous Artist & You'll Want To Go With Your Crew
If you’ve been to Nashville in the not-too-distant past, your friends with someone who has, or you follow anyone on social who has, odds are you’re already familiar with artist Kelsey Montague. And her signature wing-themed, interactive street mural there, not to mention her What Lifts You hashtag, which has been used on Instagram well over 500K times. (For the record, she started creating her large scale works with the intention of highlighting “street art and social media and how the two intersect”, and I’d say she suceeded big time!)
She’s become Insta Famous over the last 5 years or so for her impressive-looking outdoor murals - like the one above in that bustling Tennessee city, and other eye catching scenes she’s painted all over the country and the world (more about that in a sec) - that thousands of people have flocked for photos. This after Taylor Swift posted a snap of herself standing in front of one of Kelsey’s first wing-themed selfie walls in NYC’s Nolita neighborhood back in 2014. Next thing you know, tons of people were uploading from there! More recently, she actually created a beautiful temporary butterfly wing installment in Nashville as part of the promotion for T.Swift’s new album, ME.
Now, that was back in April, but can you guess where she was in May?
In a word, the Lululemon at Garden City Center in Cranston, RI!
Yes, this world famous artist’s Rhode Island installation is in the 02920. If you haven’t been yet, you - and your IG loving friends and fam - will want to go. It’s definitely all kinds of uplifting and fun-tastic!
PS ~ After I posted something from there on IG a few weeks ago, a friend who’s traveling in Ireland right now dm’ed me a photo of herself standing in front of a Kelsey Montague mural at O’Connell’s Bar there.
