The PVD Garden & Art Installation That’s Perf For Your Next Girls Day Photo Op
Guy raises money via a GoFundMe to plant 10K sunflowers on the open land between South Water and South Main in the capital city.
Fast forward to now year 4 of 10,000 Suns in Providence, and tons of people still flocking there for fotos. (Pretty sure there was a t-shirt available for sale online at one point also?)
The grassroots urban garden of sunflowers is the brainchild of landscape architect A.E. Anderson, who along with help from a group of local volunteers, spent his spare time this past Spring as per usual - prepping the land, planting seeds, and watering the entire area.
The end result of all that labor certainly does NOT disappoint.
Yup, it’s 10K 🌻’s season once again around these parts, so get those smart phones charged up.
Then, start stalking the hashtags 10000 Suns or 10000 Suns Providence and you'll see so many smile-y Instagram pictures already popping up.
From couples to families to just the flowers with that cityscape background that of course includes the iconic Superman Building.
And, to echo what Driver said in a recent post on his Insta, when you go, be sure to stay on the paths, so as not to damage or disturb the flowers.
Also, expect tons of snaps 📸 to come - because the beginning of September is when they really shine!
