You Can Get Bouquets With Your Bagels At This Sunday Collab, So Text Your Foodie BFF
Before you hit the beach this Labor Day Weekend (Just found out yesterday that you can rent a cabana for the day at Gurney’s - even if you’re not a guest of the resort. Hellooooo, blog research for a future post!), you’ll want to pop over to Providence for some fresh bagels and flowers.
Yup, that’s right, two of your favorite things will be available in the same spot this coming Sunday morning starting at 9am, at the original location of Providence Bagel at 695 North Main Street.
Instead of stressing over it being the unofficial-official last weekend of the summer and all (Okay, odds are that we’re going to have some warm weather in September, so deep breaths and positive thoughts. And I mean, everyone knows the worst months around these parts weather wise are usually January, February, March and we have a ways to go before then, so…), go back in to that text chain you already have going with your crew and get everyone onboard for The Wildflower Truck at PVD Bagel, also known as Bagels and Bouquets.
A few things to look for?
In addition to their classic menu items, PVD Bagel will probably also feature some kind of special autumnal-ish bagel - especially because everyone you know (that includes real life and online friends) seems to be suddenly rushing to post about how they love fall so much more than summer. (Mind you these are probably some of those same peeps who not long ago were posting about their deep and abiding love for all things Summer.)
In terms of blooms, you can expect to find a nice variety from TWT and their adorbs VW truck turned mobile flower shop, starting with the ever-popular sunflowers. Beyond that I’m guessing you’ll also get to choose from things like dahlias, peonies, daisies, and zinnias (I say THIS because I googled “flowers in season in August” last night around midnight.) when creating your takeaway bouquet.
I mean, this collaboration has massive wave of social media uploads from PVD come Sunday late morning written all over it, right?
And, for those of you who want to do the digital detox thing on Sundays now (If you listened to the most recent episode of Dorinda Medley’s radio show on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy channel, you know what I’m talking about. Also, her show is really a fun listen - even if you’re not a regular viewer of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York.), it’s a chance to get out and just enjoy some tasty bagels and beautiful flowers.
Or, as I like to call them, essentials for true happiness in the post modern world.
