The Marvelous Outdoor Market In Cranston You'll Want To Motor Over To This Saturday
You Can’t Beet Local Produce
Sure, this Saturday, October 31st, is Halloween, but for all my fellow farmers market lovers out there, you should know that it’s also the last official Pawtuxet Farmers Market of 2020. It’s also on the grounds of the historic Rhodes On The Pawtuxet (which dates back to 1872 and has been synonymous with everything from live music and ballroom dancing to weddings and other celebrations). Also, I hear some people might be dresssing up in costumes.
Good Chives Only
With all that is going on this year, they are all about bringing you a marvelous selection of local vendors and growers safely (masks and social distancing are required, check out their site additional info), so you can pop over to pick up the freshest Rhody produce, flowers, and other goodies and then go on your merry way.
Farmers Markets Are The Only Reason I Wake Up Early On Weekends
A few booths that I will definitely be patronizing this weekend include:
Beans & Buns Bakery — the new-ish cafe that opened last winter in the Village (Their sandwiches, baked goods, hot chocolate and coffee are so, so good!)
Blue Skys Farm — a co-op that grows herbs, flowers and vegetables without chemical fertilizers or pesticides (One thing I’ve been doing at our house during the pandemic is making sure we always have at least one vase full of flowers in the kitchen or living room. They are a mood lifter and just make everything feel more cheerful.)
If this sounds like a delightful way to spend Saturday morning, then pencil them in for any time after 9am until 12noon. And to stay in the loop, be sure to give them a follow on IG @Pawtuxet_Farmers_Market and bookmark their site PawtuxetMarket.com.
