The Sweet Treats From These Providence Makers That Everyone's Going To Be Posting About
Time for another foodie adventure!?!

Okay, donuts or doughboys are great and all, but have you ever considered churros?
The fried dough pastry that originated in Spain and Portugal and can be dipped in different sauces (more about that in a second) or enjoyed plain might not be taking over your online feeds quite yet, but these Providence makers are out change all that with Churros RI.
I just ordered 2 boxes along with a selection of their most popular sauces and so, thought I’d share some sweet and salty highlights here.
Like a lot of other micro businesses I’ve stumbled across on Instagram in particular this past year, Churros RI grew out of a quaratine hobby. What started as a way to pass the time (the founders were making churros to give to friends and fam and posting food pix to their personal IG accounts) ended up, thanks to an enthusiastic response from other people online, becoming something bigger.
Similar to how Butterbang Croissants does their thing, there is no brick and mortar storefront to speak of which, I think, is a smart move with all that’s happening currently. You can’t just pop in and pick up a box any ole time. Instead they ask that you send them an IG message, Monday thru Friday, with your order and set up a weekend pickup in the capital city. All of this adds, I think, to the intrigue and excitement, making it a welcome distraction from all our other day-to-day stressers in the world nowadays.
If you’re curious and thinking of ordering this month, you won’t wanna forget those dipping sauces. Their most loved ones include Nutella (no surprise there!), Caramel, Dulce de Leche, and Lechera. In addition, for December they added one that’s a homemade Mexican eggnog with a touch of rum.
