Got my tickets for this year’s Drive Through Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at RWP, and I will be blogging about THAT later this week. (So glad that they found a way to make it happen!)

Have also sipped my first cup of hot apple cider of the season, which gotta say, I do look forward to every single September.

When it comes to that other autumnal staple — namely, the plaid, long sleeve flannel — there’s a new version that two local makers are offering up starting this month and I couldn’t be more excited about their whimsical update on a classic, cooler weather topper. (See photo below.)

The story behind these shirts, and their made-to-order embellished tumblers that you may have seen in your IG feed, starts with best friends Amanda and Erin.

They launched their company Raven Jade Customs (the name is a combination of the names of their dog and their cat btw) this year to bring their love of making everyday items more special by personalizing them to more people.

Like a lot of others out there, Amanda and Erin had started making things while at home during the shutdown last spring and then decided to take their efforts to the next level and turn them into a full fledged business.

One thing that they pride themselves on, that they believe really sets them apart, is “the time and energy that goes into customizing and making each item completely personal.”
