There's A New Casual Eatery Coming To Cranston In 2022 And It Sounds Terrific
New Restaurant Alert
This eatery is expanding with a 2nd location in the city of Cranston and it’s wonderful news for anyone who has ever wished that there were more spots for breakfast in the Knightsville and Budlong neighborhood.
I mean, I LOVE T’s on Park Avenue — my momma was a “lunch” regular there a few years back — but the wait for a table can feel like forever and a day.
Nico Bella’s original location in Downtown Providence (an old friend I used to work with at Nordstrom PPMall had a crepe place in the vicinity) is synonymous with terrific service and traditional brekkie or brunch fare such as home fries, pancakes, eggs, and sugar waffles.
The Cranston location is situated at the corner of Budlong and Park (a space that sat vacant for many years after the closure of DeFusco’s Bakery) and is scheduled to open for biz in February of 2022 with breakfast, lunch, and supper service.
I motored over yesterday and scoped out the emerging space including the patio area, complete with double decker bus and kitchy EAT sign, and the portraits in the front windows. (You may recognize one image as Umberto “Bert” Crenca, who founded PVd’s AS220 and is also the owner’s brother.)
Stay tuned for more details as I will be visiting once they open their doors.
