This place is phenomenal!

I recently popped into the new location of Green Line Apothecary (they are a family owned and operated biz that’s all about top shelf customer service) on Main Street in Wakefield and can honestly say that there’s no place else like it in the state.

Before you even enter the building, I guarantee you will be wowed: For starters there’s a vintage-inspired delivery van (they offer FREE dooor-to-door for all their pharmacy clients). Another neat feature? A terrific takeout window with a doorbell and everything. Yep, for those still wanting to keep things outside this season, you can order from the entire menu (including VEGAN ice cream and sprinkles) and either take it with you or sit at one of the green umbrella tables off to the side.

After giving that window a whirl, I knew I had to get a look at the interior and I was not disappointed. Walking in, I was greeted by a sweet wall of those candy machines that were everywhere back in the day. Once inside I caught a glimpse of the waiting area where they have a ginormous replica of an old time-y television set up on the wall, the expanded soda fountain area and plush green seating, the toy shoppe, the vintage milkshake mixers in the front window, and so much more.

It really has to be seen irl to be fully appreciated. I suggest planning an upcoming afternoon around a trip there for ice cream (their egg creams are excellent also), shopping for sundries, and the like.
