Yippie Pie Yay

We were back in Little Compton the other day and I am so glad we popped over to Wilma’s At Walker’s, the micro bakery at Walker’s Roadside Stand (which dates all the way back to 1964) over on West Main Road.

Over the years this fun size bake shop has amassed quite the loyal and passionate following — because their made-in-house sweets (and sandwiches, local folks and those vacationing in the area adore their lobster rolls) are that scrumptious.

Luckily they weren’t sold out of everything on Saturday afternoon when we arrived, which has happened in the past and is (not gonna lie) a bummer.

We actually walked into a marvelous array of freshly baked, in season goodies including: blueberry pies, peach and blueberry pies, mini cupcakes with tiny flags for July 4th holiday, key lime pies large and small, brownies and blondies, some breakfast cookies, and more.

If you’re looking for something to do instead of the beach, or after a beach day in the vicinity (the ones in LC are gorgeous but not sure about accessibility, fees, parking, etc.), I strongly recommend a drive over this month or next.

Also you can shop the farm-stand for native veggies and other seasonal fare.

We left with a blueberry peach pie, a key lime one and a few of those cupcakes with the American flags, all of which were winners with our holiday weekend company.

Wilma’s is located at 261 West Main Road in Little Compton, Rhode Island.

As always, if you pay them a visit after reading this, do let them know you found out about them via Patty J and PattyJ.com.
