Hay There!

On a whim, I ended up taking a spin over to The Farmer’s Daughter in South Kingstown yesterday — and was surprised and ultimately delighted to see that they are all decked out for Fall 2021.

Frankly nobody does Fall or Holiday, every season tbh, better than TFD!

Full disclosure, not pulling out any flannels or knits yet, though: On Tuesday I was wearing a short sleeve James Perse t-shirt, jeans, and flip flops because the weather in Lil Rhody is still quite summer-y.

Anywho, Farmer’s has been one of my happy places since soft launching this blog in October of 2014 (TFD actually opened back in 1998 and the owner, Sarah Partyka, studied horticulture at my alma mater, URI, which is a stone’s throw away, only a few minutes drive down the road) and gotta say, this year they have really outdone themselves.

Sarah and her team have created an off-the-charts autumnal wonderland complete with a vintage pickup truck, more gourds than you can shake a stick at, greenhouses you’ll fall for, and even a spooky shed with tons of scary jack-o-lanterns, bats, and such.

But wait…that’s a lot, but not all.

I say this because TFD has a Fall Harvest Festival that’s kicking off this Saturday, the 25th, and it sounds unbe-LEAF-able!

They have so much planned from 10am to 4pm every weekend including hayrides, a corn maize, a scavenger hunt, pumpkin dunk tank, barrel train, strawbale maze, obstacle course, tunnel roll, high striker, toss games, roller slide, and the incredible displays they have become synonymous with.

The Farmer’s Daughter is located at 716 Mooresfield Road (aka, Rt. 138) in SK.

As always, if you swing by after reading THIS, please let them know your visit was inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
