We Got Takeout From One Of Our Old Favorites In Cranston, Rhode Island

We used to either get takeout from or eat dinner at Culinary Affair on Oaklawn Avenue almost every single Saturday night.

So, after they announced in 2020 that they were putting things on pause for a bit in order to renovate the space, my family and I were understandably glum.

Six months later, after their reopening post popped up on FB (my nieces were texting me excitedly about it), we couldn’t wait to call in our usual order of plum tomato grilled pizzas (their mashed potato pie with red peppers is another winner), pastas (including their pasta fagioli), soups, and warm white bean argula salads.

Well, imagine my surprise when I headed over to their online menu at that point and almost all of our old faves were gonesville. Gasp, it looked as though they had a new menu: Nooooooooooooooooo !!! (Insert Face Screaming In Fear — also known as, the Munch or for you 80’s and 90’s babies, Home Alone — emoji here.)

Now, fast forward to this past Saturday night, when on a whim, the hubs and I wandered in to place an order for carryout (the interior is completely transformed btw and looks awesome) and found a bunch of our old faves, including those scrumptious pizzas, were back.

If (like me) you’ve been missing these dishes, I highly recommend motoring over there asap.

Also, they still bake their own Italian bread. I mean, I can’t think of another restaurant around these parts that does that.
