There's A New Spot In Providence For Brunch And Yum
For those who loved the Grange, the great news is that there is now a ne-ish restaurant in that space and they are doing some marvelous things, both food and ambiance wise.
The Patio on Broadway (the sister restaurant to The Patio on Main in EG) has reimagined 166 Broadway on Providence’s West Side and the overall feel is a more spruced up, luxe version of Rhody rustic — bonus points for the polished minimalist BROADWAY sign on the back wall..
You can go for dinner (why not a burger?), small plates (folks adore their calamari, charcuterie, and made-in-house fries or chips) or even brunch.
The hubs and I went back this month and they have most definitely expanded their BRUNCH offerings since the last time we stopped by, adding bunches of mouthwatering dishes.
He ordered the pancakes which were ginormous and flavorful. No pancake disappointment whatsoever! (My husband is notoriously picky, so praise from him means a lot.)
I got one of a CLASSIC egg with poached, an English and their famous breakfast potatoes which was quite good.
If you want to go a little wild, and you’re a meat eater, consider the chicken and waffles or a steak & egg sandwich.
And in true Rhode Island fashion, the batender who crafted their popular holiday drink menu that includes a Mistletoe Margarita (see photo above) is the son of an old friend of mine, but I digress…lol
