4 Delicious Local Pies To Enjoy During Providence Pizza Week
I could eat pizza 7 days a week…sometimes have.
So, pretty jazzed to help GoProvidence celebrate Providence Pizza Week, April 16th thru the 22nd, with everything from cheese + tomato to brand new spins on the classic pie.
This pizza fanatic was in heaven sampling the Chowdah Pie (made with fresh, in the shell clams…very Ocean State) at the James Beard nominated Pizza Marvin on Wickenden St. in Providence. If you’re going to branch out from your usual Margherita, this is a nice way to start.
Also, they have their own canned sparkling PIZZA WINE that if you’re 21+, you may want to add on to your order. (Their gourmet soft serve is incredible, too.)
Angelo’s Palace of Pizza is a beautiful (it’s been completely renovated) family-run restaurant in Cumberland where I highly recommend indulging in a mac & cheese (their Mac Attack), a Cauliflower Special (a delectable twist on a veggie pie), or their Chicken Bacon Ranch (share one with your besties who live for Ranch everything).
It’s a fantastic spot for lunch with friends, dinner with the fam, or pizza Friday and drinks with your significant other.
You’re probably already familiar the gorgeous Jacky’s Galaxie on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence but have you tried their SUSHI PIZZA?
The hubs and I shared one recently and fell in love!
Lovely looking and it tasted even better — thinly sliced salmon (you can also get tuna), Kanikama, avocado, jalapeño, scallion, tobiko, spicy mayo, and eel sauce, all on a crispy scallion pancake.
Now, can we talk about how darling Tumblesalts is?
The team at this sit-down restaurant meets cafe with a cozy pub room, on Morgan Avenue in North Providence, makes their own crust (with flour imported from Italy), sauce, and calamari. And that comes thru in every single bite.
The hubs and I tucked into two amazing pizzas — a TACO and a CALAMARI in their pub room. So tasty (run, don’t walk!), and the atmosphere can’t be beat.
