Everyone's Talking About This Cozy, New Cafe In Greenville, Rhode Island
Recently I popped in to The Hen House in Chepachet (a completely adorable Rhody mercantile) and the team there started telling me about Josephine’s in nearby Greenville (a village in Smithfield, Rhode Island), next door to and from the same people who brought us Giuseppe’s.
At this point, as of today’s date, it’s been open maybe 2-3 weeks.
Well, that afternoon the hubs and I raced over immediately following that convo, but alas, we didn’t get there until 2:05 and they close at 2, sigh.
Hey, I’m STILL excited to get there asap and frankly, you should be too — because this cafe is giving peak coffee house aesthetic: Welcoming, Comfy, And Mellow.
And their offerings sound absolutely amazing.
In addition to a full coffee and tea menu (not to mention cocktails and wine during the lunch hours), they also have fresh baked muffins, scones, and danish; different toasts (including avo), hand-rolled bagels (tell your friends who are forever on the lookout for authentic New York bagels in Lil Rhody); egg sandwiches; soups and salads; and classic sandwiches.
Also, doughnuts (let’s bring back this spelling, lol) from Glaze N Daze…
Regulars are already raving about the friendly vibes, yummy ice coffee (you can get FLAVORED ones), and the joys of having first or second breakfast there.
Watch for my follow-up in the not-too-distant future, and find Josephine’s Coffee Bar at 19 Smith Avenue in Greenville, Rhode Island.
