The New Cafe For Fresh Flowers And Sips In North Kingstown

Know someone who loves blooms and vino?

Well, I have some big news…

The Buttercup Flower Truck has opened a storefront on Brown Street in Wickford (a darling village in NK), and I was there this past weekend.

They opened their doors on Saturday (in the space formerly occupied by Gooseneck Vineyards and then the Narragansett, next to the Village Ice Cream Co.) and as soon as I found out, knew I had to get over there on Sunday because quite honestly, this is a perfect pairing.

Firstly, they have brought the patio seating back (you may remember it from the GV days) which is wonderful.

The main room is where you can order your sips like Prosecco, a cab or some sauvignon blanc. (See photo above.)

There’s counter seating, and you are surrounded by flowers (even an arrangement hanging from the ceiling) and terrific gift-y items.

Feeling a little peckish? Get the charcuterie box, the mini popcorn or both.

The back room is where you can grab a bouquet of dried flowers or create your own bunch from a selection of fresh flowers and add-ons (greenery, etc). Also, beaucoup vase options to choose from.

This is an utterly charming destination for a friend day with your inner circle or an afternoon out with your mom this summer.

Also, either before or after, you can explore the rest of the Village which boasts a variety of darling shops and eateries.
