The East Providence Pizza That You Knead To Try

A friend of mine is forever messaging me about New Haven and the pizzerias there.

Well the great news is that if you are looking for New Haven style pizza (also known as apizza…which is how my nonna used to refer to it), you don’t have to drive all the way to Connecticut.

You do have to drive over the Washington Bridge (lol) but believe you me when I say it’s for some of the absolute yummiest (and freshest) pizza in the entire state.

I’m talking about Jeff’s Pizza on Waterman Avenue in East Providence. (Afterwards you can cross the street for Myrtle for a live show and some sips. It’s such a fun spot.)

We went to Jeff’s the other night because my husband wanted pizza and it became a light bulb moment for me because here was my opportunity to finally try Jeff’s famous sourdough-crust pies.

The place was hopping with people picking up takeout and putting in orders. (When I go back, I will make sure to call my order in advance because it’s pretty much always busy there.)

Once we dipped into the pizzas (a classic cheese for me and a pepperoni for my husband) at home, we became converts. Super fans. My husband was a bit skeptical and now he’s most definitely Team Jeff’s.

Thin crust and perfectly cooked. Not at all salty. All taste and no eater’s remorse whatsoever.

Grab your sneakers because this is a run, don’t walk destination.

Find Jeff’s Pizza at 127 Waterman Avenue in East Providence, Rhode Island. They are open 11am to 8pm Monday thru Thursday and 11:30am to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.

As always, if you ggo after reading THIS, please let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
