The Middletown Deli Everyone Is Raving About This Summer

Spice Up Your Life With This Superb Deli
Even if you’re not a garlic person, you are gonna flip for this new-to-me eatery on Aquidneck Island.
The Roasted Clove has some of the most generously sized and delish sandwiches in the whole state. Also, yummy baked goods (ohhhh, the cookies!) and mouth watering prepared foods.
Someone tipped me off about The Roasted Clove on Aquidneck Avenue (formerly occupied by the much-loved Sig’s Place), and we stopped in to this superb, women owned deli this past weekend.
The lunch options are plentiful. Tom decided on the chicken Caesar wrap, and I created my own sandwich. Again, the sandwiches are massive, made to order and glorious (food bloggers are gonna come calling in the coming weeks, trust me on this one).
Can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our food. These are hands down some of best casual eats in Lil Rhody.
Word is out in the vicinity (I mean, lotsa people were zipping in and out, mostly grabbing takeout) but not sure about folks beyond the Aquidneck Avenue enclave being in-the-know.
Go For The Coffee And Stay For A Fresh Sandwich And A Treat
Regulars are in love with their Queen Brie (not your momma’s grilled cheese), Fusco (chicken cutlet, red peppers, greens), their version of a classic Reuben, and the Harvest Wrap (a veggie for all my vegetarian friends out there in the world).
Make sure to leave room for one of their exquisite cookies. I tried the Salted Caramel which was so flavorful. PS — The friend who recommended this restaurant to me is a serious fan of their lemon blueberry cookie.
Make It Your Next Pre-Beach Stop
Think I will say with a great deal of certainty that this establishment is about to become one of your NEW local food obsessions.
Extra bonus points because the interior is cute as a button.
They are open 7 days a week, Sundays 9am to 4pm and Monday through Saturday 8am to 6pm.
The Roasted Clove is located at 1151 Aquidneck Avenue in Middletown, Rhode Island.
