Fri-YAY Fall Favorites With The Marvelous Madalyn Tundis
Bring on the sweater weather!
The beach bum in me is sad to see the sun set on another fabulous Rhode Island summer, but the true New Englander in me is ready for the crunch of fallen leaves under my new boots.
Thinking of all the seasonal recipes I am working to perfect, I can't wait to get picking! In just a few short weeks, we will be ready to start exploring the apple, pumpkin, and leafy green harvests at some favorite local farms such as Salisbury Farm in Johnston and Casey Farm in Saunderstown.
Autumn always happens fast. Labor Day Weekend comes to a close and suddenly white jeans are out and pumpkin spiced flavor is in. Rhode Island is the best place to be during this beautiful transition. Grab your hat and spend a Saturday afternoon getting lost exploring outdoor markets and fairs like the Fantastic Umbrella Factory in Charleston or the Scituate Art Festival.
I am excited to see what this fall has in store for us. I plan to watch the Patriots on Sundays, cook up some amazing crock pot meals, and of course, deal with the inevitable struggle that is picking the perfect Halloween costume.
