Channel Your Inner 'Emily In Paris' With Macarons From This Local RI Maker
All of a sudden everyone seems to be posting about Emily In Paris, the new Netflix show created by Emmy award-winning tv producer Darren Star (of 90210, Sex & The City, and more recently Younger) and starring Lily Collins, daughter of Phil.
Of course I watched it the other night and like a lot of other people, it made me wish I could hop a jet to Charles de Gaulle.
With everything happening this year in terms of the pandemic, any plans to get coffee and chill at Cafe de Flore, run along the Seine, or get turned down for a table at Le Grand Vefour (the famously tough to get a reservation at restaurant where chef Guy Martin reigns) will have to be put on pause indefinitely right now, though.
You can, however, put a little Parisian flair into your next snack break or after din din dessert with this emerging macaron bakery that’s currently doing custom orders and pop-ups — Luna Loves Macarons.
Macarons have been popular in France for well over 100 years and continue to be an in-demand hostess gift. Also, in the years since they were first created by the Macaron Sisters, they have become a symbol for living one’s best life, both overseas and stateside.
So, whether you want to give your inner world traveler a taste of (hopefully) a future excursion, or you just want to get a jump on all the local food bloggers who will be salivating over these sweets soon enough, you’ll want to zip over to this Sunday’s Providence Flea on So. Water Street where Luna will have a booth set-up until 2pm.
And for the latest from Luna Loves Macarons, be sure to give their Insta a follow.
