There's A New Food Truck In RI, And You'll Want To Track It Down This Instant

If you live for a hearty, old school sandwich, crispy, freshly made potato chips or both, then I have a brand new food truck you’re going to want to try out soon.

Farm To Sandwich has just popped up on the Rhode Island food scene, and we motored over to one of their recent (outdoor) pop-ups in the Cranston area the other day to check out what they have to offer.

Now, I don’t eat meat, so I was glad to see that they offer something called “The Vegan One,” which consists of smoked seasonal veggies in a sun-dried tomato pesto. It’s available on either a lettuce wrap or a brioche roll. (For the record, I went with the lettuce wrap — but only because I had gourged myself on pastry a few hours earlier.)

Honestly, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. So many times veggies sandwiches can seem like an afterthought on a menu, leaving us plant based eaters disappointed and hangry.

Theirs, however, was one of the best ones I’ve ever eaten in my whole entire life: Not too smokey and the tomato pesto added the perfect amount of zip and zing as far as overall taste experience goes.

Oh and next time I will get the brioche!

For all you carnivores out there, the rest of the Farm To Sandwich menu is your jam. They have at least 4 other creations to choose from, one of which I bet will have you singing their praises.

The other thing I wanted to be sure to mention food wise? Their ribbon fries, which are essentially handmade potato chips that we devoured gleefully.

Now chips are not normally part of my everyday, but boy did I make an exception for these. So delicious!
